ENCOURAGING EARLY LEARNING IN ISOLATED RURAL REGION OF DUMRA, KUTCH.

The requirement of an early learning area was eminently necessary while observing the natives of the village. The children above the age of 0-6 yrs. admit themselves with the help of parents in school from 1st standard. And this lack of early learning platform for the people residing in Dumra and near villages did not come forward to accept the advantages of this early learning process. The necessity was clearly visible when we visited the village. Putting children into early learning play a key role in children's brain development. Children's early experiences - the bonds they form with their parents and their first learning experiences – deeply affect their future physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. And this necessity was evidently visible.

The architectural intervention would encourage the early learning methods in the taluka through adjustments in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme and should be able to create a comfortable environment for the younger ones to learn & play comfortably in the harsh climatic conditions of the region. The proposal intends to develop an idea of an open learning environment where the infants are not bound by the classroom environment to sit and study, but instead, the infants are free/loose to roam wherever they want, despite the time schedule. Encouraging learning and exploration of their own and making the parents realize their liking and dislike from a younger age.
